About the Job

Delta-X Research is hiring a Technical Content Marketing Specialist to craft clear, compelling content that supports software adoption in the power industry. Collaborate with experts, manage campaigns, and shape brand messaging. This remote role blends writing, strategy, and design to help utilities make smart, data-driven decisions.

About Us

Delta-X Research is a Canadian software company serving the electric power industry. Since 1992, we’ve helped utilities and industrial operators assess risk, improve reliability, and prevent outages with advanced analytics rooted in real-world transformer data. Our flagship product, Transformer Oil Analyst™ (TOA), is trusted by more than half of North America’s largest utilities. We’re a pragmatic, purpose-driven team that values scientific integrity, deep thinking, and the impact of our work on the people who keep the lights on and the world moving forward.

Why Work With Us?

The work we do matters — and so do the people who do it. At Delta-X Research, you’ll find a respectful, low-ego environment where curiosity is encouraged, quality is valued, and good ideas come from everywhere. We believe in doing meaningful work without burning out, and we support each other in delivering thoughtful, high-impact solutions.

But meaningful work is only part of the equation. We also care about how we work together — with collaboration, trust, and a healthy respect for life outside of work. We celebrate wins, learn from challenges, and make space for growth.

We offer:

  • Competitive compensation range of $60,000 to $80,000, and profit sharing.
  • Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life insurance, and long-term disability.
  • Three weeks of paid vacation, with room to grow over time.
  • A fully remote work environment with a team that trusts you to do your best work from where you work best.
  • Opportunities to learn, grow, and expand into new areas as we scale.

If you’re looking for meaningful work on a team that values your perspective and supports your growth, we’d love to hear from you.

Who You Are:

You’re a strong communicator with a passion for turning complex ideas into clear, compelling content. Whether you’re writing a blog post, shaping a customer case study, or refining web copy, you’re skilled at balancing technical accuracy with audience engagement. You take pride in producing polished work, and you’re always thinking about how content supports strategy, brand, and business goals.

You enjoy collaborating with subject matter experts, asking thoughtful questions, and synthesizing input into content that makes an impact. You’re comfortable working independently, managing deadlines across multiple projects, and adjusting quickly to shifting priorities — all while staying curious and focused on continuous improvement.

You care about quality, clarity, and the role good content plays in helping real people solve real problems.

For this role specifically, we’re looking for someone who…

  • Has experience creating content in a scientific, technical, or engineering-based environment.
  • Can confidently manage both long-form and short-form content across digital channels.
  • Understands how to tailor messaging for different stages of the customer journey.
  • Can work cross-functionally to bring brand voice and clarity to everything from campaign assets to case studies.
  • Has a solid understanding of graphic design principles and visual communication and is comfortable creating simple assets or working with a designer to bring marketing content to life.

What You’ll Do:

As the Technical Content Marketing Specialist at Delta-X Research, you will play a crucial role in ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, and compelling — helping customers understand our products, trust our brand, and take action.

Content Strategy & Development: You’ll create compelling, science-based content that brings our products and mission to life — from website copy and case studies to social media and internal communications. You’ll work cross-functionally to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging messages that support both education and conversion.

Strategic Planning & Campaign Management: You’ll contribute to marketing strategy by developing and executing multi-channel campaigns that build visibility and generate leads. You’ll collaborate with the team to evaluate results and use performance data to inform future content and targeting.

Digital Marketing: You’ll support digital marketing initiatives through platforms like HubSpot and social media, helping to manage campaigns, automate workflows, and distribute content to the right audiences at the right time.

Analytics & Performance Reporting: You’ll track content and campaign performance using tools like HubSpot and Google Analytics and help translate that data into insights that improve results over time.

Graphic Design & Visual Communication: You’ll help create or coordinate visual assets that align with our brand — whether designing templates or working with external designers to bring marketing materials to life.

Brand Management: You’ll help maintain a strong, cohesive brand by ensuring consistency across all content and channels, and by supporting internal teams with the tools and guidance they need to use our brand effectively.

What You’ll Bring – Must Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, content creation, or related field.
  • Experience developing content marketing or copywriting, ideally involving scientific or technical subject matter.
  • Familiarity with managing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media channels.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a portfolio of content examples.

What You’ll Bring – Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and digital marketing tools.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for graphic design, with experience creating visual assets for marketing use.
  • Experience producing marketing videos, from concept to completion.
  • Proficiency with content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and content management systems.
  • Experience communicating complex scientific or technical topics to non-expert audiences.
  • Experience supporting brand strategy or messaging frameworks.
  • Comfort with or interest in learning basic SEO principles and content performance tracking using tools like Google Analytics.
  • Comfort speaking about their work in front of an audience — whether at team meetings, webinars, or industry events.

What You Know & How You Work:

  • You understand the fundamentals of content marketing, including audience needs, brand voice, and content planning.
  • You’re comfortable with (or curious about) digital marketing tools and tactics like SEO, content management systems, and analytics.
  • You have a good grasp of graphic design principles and visual communication, and you know how to apply them — whether you’re creating content yourself or working with an external designer to bring ideas to life.
  • You have excellent writing and editing skills and can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You’re organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You enjoy working cross-functionally, gathering input, and turning it into meaningful, high-quality content.
  • You’re adaptable, proactive, and thrive in a collaborative team — but you’re also confident working independently.

What We Look For In All Team Members:

At Delta-X Research, we care just as much about how you work as what you know. Across every role and function, we look for people who bring curiosity, integrity, and a collaborative spirit to the team. Here’s what matters to us:

  • A learning mindset. You don’t need to have all the answers — just a willingness to ask great questions, seek out feedback, and keep growing.
  • Respect and inclusion. We value diverse perspectives and create space for everyone to contribute meaningfully. Discrimination of any kind has no place here.
  • Team-first thinking. You know when to take the lead and when to support. You collaborate with care and communicate clearly.
  • Accountability and follow-through. You take ownership of your work and follow through on commitments — even when things get complex.
  • Clarity over ego. We care more about solving the problem than about who’s right. If something isn’t working, you speak up — and you’re open when others do the same.
  • Care for the craft. Whether it’s content, analysis, or client service, you take pride in the quality and usefulness of what you produce.
  • A practical sense of humour. We work hard and take our mission seriously, but we also know the value of a good laugh and a well-placed GIF.
