Product Overview

Delta-2000 DXDKEY is a simple utility program, developed by Delta-X Research, for downloading data from the Megger/AVO Delta-2000 test instrument's EEPROM data key. The program communicates with the PKS-232 Interface Module to retrieve test results from a data key. Once downloaded, the data can be saved in a comma- or tab-delimited text file for use with database or spreadsheet software.

You can also use DXDKEY to view data files and edit them in simple ways. DXDKEY can erase data keys for re-use in the Delta-2000 instrument.

DXDKEY is unsupported free software.

Does DXDKEY run in Windows XP or Vista?

We don't know. It is known to run under Windows 95, 98, and Windows NT 4.0(SP2), and it seems likely that it might also run in Windows 2000, but we have not tested it in recent versions of Windows. There is no development or maintenance budget for DXDKEY, so we are not able to make changes in it or upgrade it for new versions of Windows.

How to make DXDKEY display Help as a web page instead of a text file

Edit the file dxdkey.ini in the DXDKEY folder. Be sure that the Helpfile parameter indicates the path (relative to the DXDKEY folder) of the Help page named "dxdkhlp.htm". For example, the Help page is normally in a sub-folder named "help", so the entry would look like this:

HelpFile=help\dxdkhlp.htm

The Browser parameter should indicate the absolute path of your web browser. For example, on many Windows 95 systems this entry would look like this:

Browser=c:\program files\PLUS!\microsoft internet\iexplore.exe
